somatic psychotherapy

for adults and teens

My approach to healing emerges from the foundation that you hold immense knowing within. This wisdom is likely being shared in ways that are known and not yet known, and may not be understood by you or others. My role is to support you in slowing down, listening to & honoring that knowing, while also assisting you in building capacity within your nervous system to manage the waves of emotions. At times, I might act as an auxiliary nervous system.

Our sessions may include mindfulness practices, dialogue, pauses, body check ins, psychoeducation, nervous system mapping, building vocabulary & reconsidering narratives, weaving in context, EMDR, imagery practices, sound healing…the inclusion of any of this emerges from consent and collaboration. These invitations can facilitate individual, ancestral, and collective healing in and through the body.

Through these practices many of the uncomfortable feelings you have will feel more less overwhelming. And, more importantly, we will widen your access to your pleasure, joy and creativity.

I can support you with:

  • untangling whiteness, white fragility

  • healing from the impact of relationships with people who have narcisstic tendencies

  • compassion fatigue &/or burnout

  • stress/anxiety

  • depression

  • perfectionism

  • healing from relational, sexual, and complex trauma

  • finding your voice, building self trust

  • preparation for & integration of psychedelic experiences

  • boundary setting and assertiveness

  • co-dependency

  • disordered relationships to food and/or substances

  • body image

  • life transitions

  • sexuality

  • relationships & intimacy

Somatic Therapy

Our bodies can offer a depth of knowing & texture to the narrative that might be bringing you into therapy, as well as an essential tool in finding balance and ground amongst big emotions. Together we will learn to listen to the language of your body as a path to support lasting healing.

Safe and Sound Protocol

A non-invasive application of the “science of feeling safe,” or Polyvagal Theory, developed by Stephen Porges. It is a passive music therapy intervention designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience. In a supportive environment, this can support a re-membering of our belonging.

This can be integrated into our work together as well as a supportive adjunct to therapy.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAT)

Ketamine Assisted Therapy is a unique therapeutic method used to address a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, post-traumatic stress, chronic pain, addiction, and some forms of anxiety. It involves combining psychotherapy with the use of ketamine to enhance and deepen the therapeutic process, in service of amplifying and prolonging the curative effects of ketamine.
